Services

The show must go on.
(and that includes the amps)

Most venue AV problems are support problems. The wrong gear for the room. A quote that ballooned. A phone number that stops getting answered. Whether your sound system is hissing at you right now, or your last vendor disappeared mid-install, we can help. We've spent 35+ years being the team venues call when the show has to go on tonight.

Sublimelifers

Art meets engineering.

When creativity and craftsmanship collide, magic happens.

Bryan

The Nerd

Designer turned developer. DJ turned software engineer. In the ’80s and ’90s, Bryan helped build Atlanta’s underground dance scene from behind the turntables. He designed the flyers and created the interactive multimedia art that defined it. Then he went deep into the code because he refused to accept “you can’t.” He imagines what’s next.

Matt

The Wizard

For 35 years, if it needed to light up or make noise, Matt made it work. From the first underground raves in the Southeast to venues worldwide, he’s engineered, installed, and optimized every system that matters. He doesn’t just understand lighting. He lives it. He builds the rigs. Solves the problems. He keeps the magic happening.

Common questions

The things people ask first.

Do you install systems you didn't design?

Yes. About half our work involves systems someone else specified. We come in to fix what's not working, replace failing components, or take over ongoing service. We won't pretend the previous designer made all the right calls, but we don't tear out functional gear either. The Sound Check tells us what stays and what needs to change.

What's the difference between a Sound Check and an Install?

A Sound Check is a paid on-site walkthrough where we document and analyze your full AV system, then write up prioritized recommendations. You leave with a report you own, whether you hire us or not. An Install is the actual work: replacing or upgrading sound, lighting, or video systems, built to spec and fully commissioned. Most venues start with a Sound Check, then decide what install work makes sense.

How quickly can you respond when something breaks?

Depends on your service tier. House Crew clients get priority response: a callback within hours and on-site coverage that matches the urgency. Non-House Crew calls get a same-day callback from us and a scheduled visit based on what's reasonable for the situation. If your show is tonight, we'll tell you straight whether we can help or whether you need a different option.

Do you work outside Atlanta proper?

Yes. We work across metro Atlanta and North Georgia. Suburban venues get the same response standard as in-town venues, and the team is dispersed across the metro so coverage isn't centered on any one neighborhood.

Can you handle large-format venues, or is your sweet spot smaller rooms?

Both. Over 35 years, we've designed and maintained AV for rooms ranging from 150-capacity clubs to 1,500-capacity concert venues to country clubs with multiple event spaces. The complexity changes; the principles don't. If a venue isn't the right fit for us, we'll say so on the call.

What's the difference between House Crew and just calling you when something breaks?

House Crew is a monthly contract: $500 per month gets you priority response, scheduled health-check site visits, and bundled discounts on parts and labor. It pays off if you have two or more service issues a year. Call-as-you-need-it works fine if your gear is newer and you can absorb the occasional surprise bill. We're happy to do either.

What kind of warranty comes with an install?

Manufacturer warranty on the gear, which varies by brand (typically 1 to 5 years), and a 1-year workmanship warranty from us on the installation itself. If something we installed fails within that window, we come back and make it right at no charge. We document everything during commissioning so warranty conversations stay clean.

Do you handle one-off events, or only ongoing venue work?

Mostly permanent install and ongoing service for venues. We don't do event-day production for one-time outside events. If you need a front-of-house engineer or lighting designer for a single event, we can usually refer you to someone we trust.
